Jim and Vicki Lassiter's 1996 Corvette
I have wanted a Corvette since 1960.  After retiring in June 2009, I started looking for something.  In March, 2010 I was looking at a 1965 StingRay when I saw this 1996 Corvette.  I fell in love with the car and purchased it.  LIFE IS GOOD!  It is a silver Sebring with a black convertible top.  The interior is red leather seats and red carpet.  It has a black dash and console.  Collector's Edition is embroidered on the seat backs.

I bought this beauty in March 2010 in Goldsboro.  Under the hood is a 350 cubic inch engine LT-1  300 HP.  The only thing I've replaced is the stereo and speakers.  Vicki and I are enjoying driving this head turner and displaying it in local shows.

David and Carol Buchanan's 1957 Ford Skyliner
Our grandchildren call our 1957 Ford Skyliner "Big Bird".  It really does look like a bird when it's all spread out.  I got this car in 1980 in Dunn, NC.  The exterior is blue and white and there's a 312 V-8 under the hood.  It has had a new paint job and the motor is rebuilt.  Also, I have replaced the tires with new ones and new brakes.  It took me about 6 years to complete.

I really enjoy showing this unusual car in shows as it is quite a "Head Turner".  It has won 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in some major car shows.

Ray and Fran Ferland's 1988 Coupe Deville Cadillac

I have always loved Cadillacs and this is the third one I've owned.  We bought this one in Florida in 1998.  I was attracted to the beautiful red color and it was in great condition.  It has what is called a white roadster top (looks like convertible) and the original paint is in good condition.  The interior is red & white leather, which reminds me of the '50's cars.  I did replace the engine with a rebuilt 265 V-8.

I've always been one to dress up a car, so I added a continental kit, Dayton wide-walled tires, Rolls Royce grill, a reproduction of a 1941 Cadillac hood ornament, Chrome & Gold wire spoke wheels with real knock-off spinners.  I've also added dual exhausts, customized side vents and a new Kinwood radio and CD player.   I always wanted trunk straps and couldn't find them for years, but Fran found them on eBay and they have been added now.

I have shown the car in Florida and NC and have won some trophies.  I drove the car from Florida to Maine in 1999 and from NC to Maine in 2006 without a single problem.  I love to drive it around town because I always get "thumbs up" and "it's a beautiful car" comments.  Some ask if I want to sell it.  That makes my day.

Ray & Fran Ferland's 2003 PT Cruiser

I bought this Cinnamon Pearl PT Cruiser in Florida in 2003.  I was looking for a white car because they are much cooler in the Florida sun, but when I saw this beautiful color I fell in love with it.  We belonged to the PT Cruiser club in Brevard County and the car won a couple of awards in FL. and here in Dunn, NC.

What makes this car special is all the chrome accessories that have been added.  It came with the chrome package, but a 1951 Windsor hood ornament from a '51 Chrysler was added along with chrome trunk straps, wheel trim, back light trim, side hood vents, and chrome columns.

Ray and I like to name our cars and this one is named Prissy after Priscilla Presley.  Ray's caddy is named Elvis.

The Life of a 1935 Oldsmobile Business Coupe as told by it's owner:
Henry Perkins

It is a 1935 Oldsmobile Business coupe and my father bought this car from
the original owner when I was two years old and put it in a building for me to have
when I got old enough to work on it if I wanted it. I took possession of it when I was around 14 to 15 years old. I started working on it and I installed a Chrysler Hemi engine in it with the stock front end under it and the weight was way to much for it.
So it went back into the building for another 10 years and then it was brought back
out and redone with oldsmobile parts and a 442 olds engine with a 4 speed transmission.
Carol and I drove it for daily transportation for a short time until
someone opened the hood while I was in a parts store and scratched the fenders
up and I got real mad. And back in the building it went again to sit for another 30
years from 1981 until October of 2010 with occasional engine starts and sometimes
a short drive around the yard. I pulled it back out in October 2010 and started
working on it and brought it to the present stage it's in now. It took several
thousand dollars and lots of man hours to build it . I worked extremely hard
to keep it all Oldsmobile parts and drive train since I didn't want a traditional street
rod that everyone puts in a small block chevy or ford and it don't seem to matter
what kind of car they build it has this type of drive train in it! I wanted something
different than that for my car . It has a 69 455 oldsmobile engine and a
small street cam and good heads with a 400 turbo olds transmission and rear
gears in it along with a 442 oldsmobile front clip with power steering and
power brakes and electric windows. We  rebuilt the engine and installed it
along with the 400 turbo transmission since my back surgery stopped the 4
speed shifting . We did all the entire build on the car except the interior
and a good friend of mine did it for me in my home shop . He used Tweed and
carpet so it would be durable and not to hot in the summer months.  I now
have 12000 trouble free miles on it since we drive it to all the shows that
we go to all over the eastern part of the state each year . It is painted
Black Cherry in base coat clear and has multiple coats of base and clear
with color sanding and buffing . It has won several Best Of Show and Best
Street Rod awards, along with Peoples and Fans Choice along with the Mayors
Pick in the Goldsboro Summer Jam Series and Car Show. I plan on passing it down
to my son when I quit driving so he can enjoy driving it and showing it like we
have! So folks this one is not for sale unless ??????????

This is a 1978 Silver and Black Indy Pace car given to me by my wife for our 25th Anniversary.  This Chevy Corvette is special as it's the 25th Anniversary model.  The color is the special silver only used in the pace car edition.  Under the hood is a 350 V-8.  It was the first year a pace car was able to pace the Indy 500 with a stock engine.  The car is in its original condition.  It has been shown in Minnesota where it has won many awards.

My wife didn't like this particular color, so I bought her a Corvette in her favorite color:  white.

Ken and Vynne Wendel's 1965 Plymouth Valiant Convertible

ENCCSDCPhotos/IMG8506.jpg

We are the third owners of this 44 year-old car.  I bought this beauty in April 2008 in Liberty, N.C., but it had originally been a California car.

The exterior is white with a white convertible top and the interior is red vinyl.  Restoration took about a year and I recovered the dash, tuned up the brakes, rebuilt the speedometer and rechromed the rear bumper.

Under the hood is a Commando 273 Cu. in. Engine with a 4-Barrel carburator.

We're looking forward to the upcoming season of car shows and displays.

Al Larivee is from Selma, NC and has a 1965 Thunderbird.  He purchased this car in Jan '09 from a private owner in Virginia Beach, VA.  It was driven from there to Johnston County.  The interior appears to be reconditioned.
